Live Steam

The first Sunday of every month, from 11:30 to 13:30, you can enjoy the ignition of the locomotive La Mataró.

The history of the railway cannot be explained without La Mataró, since it was the first locomotive that circulated around the Iberian Peninsula in 1848. Being able to see it lit with special lights and white smoke, the result of the operation of its steam engine, is a privilege. If you want to see La Mataró working in its time, you can see some videos in the following link. Do not miss it!

In addition, you will have access to unpublished documents which are dated back  more than a century and a half before, with a tour of images of all its trajectory

Take advantage of it and come to the Museum to enjoy one of the most important railway shows in the country.
